Award-winning Westport on the edge of Clew Bay is surrounded by magnificent scenery and provides excellent opportunities for day tours including a trip to Galway City. We have a scenic day tour to Connemara via Louisburgh for breath-taking views of the islands and Croagh Patrick, Ireland’s Holy Mountain, and continue to the picturesque village of Leenane. Taking the coastal road to Killary Harbour, we find ourselves at the start if Ireland’s only fjord. Close by is Kylemore Abbey a neo-gothic castle mirrored in its own lake.  Our next stop is 2020 European capital of culture, Galway City, famous for its maritime history and, especially this year, boasting a full calendar of events. Also, we visit the Museum of Country Life with its modern exhibition galleries, set in the grounds of Turlough Park House.
