Door to door service
The adventure starts as we cruise from Hull to Rotterdam with P&O Ferries, spend a night in France and finally arrive in Switzerland for a 4-night experience. This is a peaceful escape from everyday pressures and the opportunity to relax and unwind in this tranquil setting with picturesque views. A welcome cocktail is served and there is a regular programme of evening entertainment. Enjoy a trip to Bregenzerwald and try the local cheeses. We visit Schwarzenberg, the most beautiful area far and wide. The famous painter, Angelika Kauffman, who later lived in London and then Rome, spent her childhood here and her early artwork can be viewed in the parish church. We continue to travel to Lindau, the "city on the island" on Lake Constance and travel back through a short visit of Bregenz.
We travel to Feldrich where the local coach takes us through narrow mazes to Schattenberg
Castle. Here, you can spend some time looking round the museum. We visit Grisons, an old cathedral town of Chur before heading onto the Rhatische Bahna, a narrow-gauge Alpine railway, which will take you up through the splendid mountain scenery, to the famous winter sports resort of Arosa, also called the "white paradise", where you can go for a walk round the little lake or take part in a sleigh ride. We return by train and, on our way back, we visit Vaduz, the capital of the Principality of Liechtenstein. We then start our journey home, saying goodbye to Switzerland, and receiving a fond farewell from the hotel staff who will present us with a small gift on departure.
