Travelling via Leyburn and Hawes and returning via Skipton, make this a trip not to be missed.

Day 1

The holiday starts with a pick up from home by one of our taxis or minibuses which will bring you through to the coach. Once on board we make our way to Leyburn arriving in time for lunch and then on through Hawes where we take a short stop before finally arriving at the hotel in Crosthwaite.

Day 2

We make our way through Ambleside and Kirkstone Pass, which is the highest road in the Lakes, to Glenridding where we board the Ullswater steamer for a one-hour cruise on the second largest lake in the Lake District. After a short break at Pooley Bridge we travel through more dramatic scenery to Keswick, stunningly located at the head of Derwentwater. We spend the rest of the day here before returning to our hotel in time for dinner.

Day 3

After breakfast, we make our way past Coniston Water to Haverthwaite where you travel by steam train through Leven Valley to Lake Windermere before re-joining the coach for the journey through Lakeland scenery to Holker Hall & Gardens. Regarded as one of the best stately homes in Britain, we spend most of the afternoon here. Explore the house and stroll through the gardens that merge in to parkland framed by Lakeland Mountains.

Day 4

A leisurely morning spent at the hotel before we head to the Watermill Micro Brewery at Stanley. A guided tour, lasting about an hour is followed by a light lunch of soup and sandwiches and then we make the short journey to Bowness where we spend the rest of the day. Probably the most visited place in the Lake District, Bowness has a wealth of shops, museums, art galleries, cafes, tea rooms and pubs as well as pretty lakeside walks.
We return to the hotel in plenty of time to freshen up before dinner

Day 5

Enjoy your breakfast and one last view of the Lakes before boarding the coach and heading to Skipton where we make a lunch time stop. We will make sure you have plenty of time to browse round the shops, have something to eat or even take a short canal if you like before getting back to Yorkshire early in the evening. From here your journey home will be completed in one of our Door to Door vehicles.
