Day 1

We make our way to Portsmouth this morning for our ferry crossing to Fishbourne, Isle of Wight. On arrival at our hotel, we will enjoy a welcome drink whilst our bags are taken to our room.

Day 2

This morning, we will enjoy a journey on the award winning Isle of Wight Steam Railway. Settling back on our leisurely 5 mile journey, we will have a unique view of some of the island's unspoilt countryside. Taking us on two stretches of the line, we will start at Havenstreet station where we will journey to Smallbrook Junction. From here, we will enjoy a return trip to Havenstreet, where we will embark on the next stage of our journey, to Wootton, before returning again to Havenstreet. In the afternoon, we will spend time at leisure in Shanklin or Ryde, with time to explore all that these traditional resorts have to offer.

Day 3

Today, we will board our coach for a circular tour of the island. The island boasts 60 miles of spectacular coastline and stunning scenery affording plenty of spectacular views. With fabulous ocean views, we will visit the famous Needles chairlift which operates from the cliff-top at Alum Bay down to the beach below, and the Needles Rocks and Trinity Lighthouse - the Isle of Wight's most famous landmark. With plenty of attractions on-site, this iconic landmark is unforgettable. Our tour will also include a visit to the historic port town of Yarmouth which is home to the oldest architecture on the island, including a Yarmouth's 16th century castle, and a grade 2 listed pier.

Day 4

Today we have a morning at leisure. The Royal Esplanade Hotel is just a short walk to the centre of Ryde so you will have time to indulge in a little retail therapy or take time to wander on Rydes award winning beach, which at low tide opens up to Isle of Wight's largest stretch of golden sands. This afternoon we visit Rosemary Vineyard, one of the largest producers of English wine. We will have a 30 minute guided tour which will include the wine making process followed by a small tasting

Day 5

This morning, we will make our way to what was once Queen Victoria's palatial seaside home, Osborne House. We can visit the private apartments, state rooms and Queen Victoria's beach where there is a bathing machine which the Queen used to get undressed, all of which will give us an intimate glimpse into royal family life!

Day 6

After breakfast this morning, we will make our way home.
