Day 1

Your holiday starts with a pick up from home by one of the vehicles from our Door to Door service which will bring you through to our coach. We'll stop for a break at the market town of Stamford which was proclaimed by Sir Walter Scott as "the finest stone town in England" and was declared a conservation area in 1967. There are coffee shops, restaurants and a vast range of retailers to tempt you or you may wish to take a stroll by the river. We'll continue to the hotel arriving early evening giving you time to relax before dinner.

Day 2

We make our way into London for our tour of the Houses of Parliament. Find out how Parliament works as we go through the Commons Chamber and the Lords Chamber, follow in the footsteps of the Queen at the State opening of Parliament and visit the magnificent Westminster Hall which is almost 1000 years old. Our tour is followed by Afternoon Tea, taken at Westminster Abbey.

Day 3

Leaving the hotel after breakfast, we'll make our way to Runnymede, the picturesque open landscape beside the Thames seen by many as the birthplace of modern democracy as this was the place where King John signed the Magna Carta on 15 June 1215. You'll be able to explore the site and take in the memorials including The Jurors Artwork and The Magna Carta Memorial. We'll then make the short journey to Windsor where you'll have some free time before boarding the boat for a relaxing, scenic cream tea cruise.

Day 4

Today we visit Henry VIIIs Hampton Court Palace, the oldest Tudor palace in England, which, with its beautiful architecture, famous maze, Henry VIIIs kitchens, 60 acres of magnificent gardens provides an unforgettable day out. Hampton Court Palace is a very large site and it is estimated that visitors walk at least 2 miles during their visit but there are plenty of seating areas throughout the Palace and we plan to spend 5 hours here so you should have time to make the most of your visit.

Day 5

We complete our holiday with a visit to Buckingham Palace, the Monarchs official residence since 1837. During the summer months part of the Palace is open to the public and visitors can meander through a selection of the lavishly furnished State Rooms including the Throne Room and Queen Victoria's Picture Gallery. Each year, there is also a Special Exhibition. You'll have time to have something to eat and drink at The Garden Café which overlooks the famous Palace lawn and serves light refreshments (not included in the cost). The visitor route ends with a half-mile walk through the garden to the exit. We'll leave mid-afternoon to begin our journey to your drop off point where the Door to Door vehicles will be waiting to take you home.
