Three of England’s most famous sons feature in our new tour taking in Stratford-upon-Avon, Worcester and Blenheim Palace.  We visit Anne Hathaway’s cottage, the childhood home of Shakespeare’s wife, which has been described as the most romantic in England, before enjoying the historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon.  We go to the birthplace of Sir Edward Elgar; the small family home known as The Firs is definitely home to “Land of Hope and Glory”, before an afternoon in the beautiful Cathedral city of Worcester.   Magnificent Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill,  has over 300 years of history and is set amongst 2000 acres of Capability Brown landscaped parkland, formal gardens and pleasure gardens.

Day 1

The holiday starts with a pickup from home by one of the vehicles from our Door to Door service which will bring you through to our coach. We make our way to the fashionable and elegant town of Royal Leamington Spa with a town centre of around a third of a mile square it means that all areas of the town centre are easily accessed on foot within a 10 minute walk. The Grade II listed Jephson Gardens and Pump Room Gardens are well worth a visit. We'll make the short journey to the hotel late afternoon, arriving to allow you time to relax before dinner.

Day 2

We make our way to Anne Hathaways Cottage, the beautiful 500 year old cottage where Shakespeare courted his bride-to-be. You'll have plenty of time to explore the cottage and the gardens before we make our way to Stratford-upon-Avon for the afternoon, where you'll be spoilt for choice with things to do. Amongst the many attractions are Bancroft Gardens, Holy Trinity Church where you'll find Shakespeare's grave, and Shakespeare's Birthplace.

Day 3

We visit The Firs this morning, the birthplace of Sir Edward Elgar, the small family home in the village of Lower Broadheath, The Firs collection is an eclectic and highly personal collection. Leaving here, we'll head to the beautiful Cathedral city of Worcester where you'll have the afternoon to enjoy and explore at your leisure.

Day 4

Today we visit Blenheim Place, birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. With over 300 years of history, Blenheim Palace is set amongst 2000 acres of Capability Brown landscaped parkland, formal gardens and pleasure gardens. An audio guide is provided to help make the most of your visit to the Palace State Rooms. We'll plan to spend most of the day here to ensure you can explore at your leisure.

Day 5

Leaving the hotel after breakfast, we make our way to the traditional market town of Melton Mowbray, famous for its pork pies and Stilton cheese. Leaving there, we'll make our way to your drop-off point where the Door to Door vehicles will be waiting to take you home.
