Dover Castle is one of the largest and most iconic castle is England. Described as the "Key to England" due to its strategic position, it was from here that Operation Dynamo was controlled. We visit the Battle of Britain Memorial, dedicated to the aircrew who flew in the Battle of Britain. With its skyline dominated by the oldest Cathedral in England, enjoy your cruise along the picturesque River Stour through the heart of Canterbury before exploring on your own. Chartwell was the beloved home of Sir Winston Churchill and the rooms remain much as they were when he lived there. The magnificent hillside gardens reflect Sir Winston’s love of the landscape and in his studio a collection of the canvasses that he painted are displayed.
