Normandy offers an array of gourmet delights to savour and our packaged itinerary is full of tasty treats to tempt your passengers including the cheese, calvados and even the gardens of the French Chateau


Mercure Hotel Lisieux


The modern 3 star hotel is located on the outskirts of the charming town of Lisieux, within easy reach of a host of attractions. Each of the 70 bedrooms is decorated in a modern, cosy style with facilities including TV, hairdryer and tea/ coffee making facilities. The good sized, open plan restaurant and informal bar are located on the ground floor, with both having a pleasant ambience overlooking the outdoor swimming pool. Coach parking is on site and is free of charge. The hotel has a lift.


Day 1

We arrive at our hotel today and are welcomed with a glass of Normandy cider as our bags are taken to our room.

Day 2

Fromage, Gardens & Calvados 66km/41 mile round trip
This morning we will visit the Fromagerie Graindorge for an audio tour of the cheese factory to discover the unique way the Livarot and Pont l'Eveque cheeses are produced. The tour is followed by a tasting of four of the delicious cheeses. We will then travel to the beautiful themed Jardins du Pays d'Auge which covers 4 acres set around picturesque half-timbered farm buildings dating back to the 16th century. During our visit we can enjoy a delicious lunch (not included) at the on-site restaurant that offers 80 varieties of galettes and crêpes! Following our interesting visit we visit the neighbouring family-run Pierre Huet Calvados distillery for a guided tour of the estate where we will discover the slow process of transforming apples into calvados. We will enjoy tasting the calvados accompanied with a tasty local treat such as apple pie or

Day 3

Honfleur 70km/44 mile round trip
Today we travel to the charming port town of Honfleur, located on the beautiful Côte Fleurie. Honfleur's beauty has long attracted artists whose work can be seen in the town's museums and art galleries. During our visit we can explore the old dock in the heart of the port, surrounded by distinctive high, narrow, timbered-framed and slate-clad houses. Honfleur is famous for its seafood and our day at leisure is the perfect opportunity to sample some freshly caught fish at one of the many restaurants. In the afternoon we can enjoy a number of attractions including a relaxing boat trip, a visit to St Catherine's Church dating back to the 15th century, museums or take a stroll around the many unique shops.

Day 4

Château de Vendeuvre & Lisieux 68km/42 mile round trip
This morning, we will visit the 18th century Château de Vendeuvre, one of the most beautiful castles in Normandy. During our guided tour we will discover a miniature furniture collection, an amazing collection of lavish dog kennels, a perfectly preserved kitchen and an array of stunning gardens including the topiary gardens, surprising water gardens and maze. Following our visit we enjoy a traditional 4 course Normandy lunch with a glass of wine in the Stables Restaurant overlooking the gardens. In the afternoon we return to Lisieux where we can explore the magnificent Basilica, the Norman Cathedral, the house of Saint Thérèse and this beautiful town of pilgrimage at our leisure.

Day 5

For this extra day I would suggest either a day to the lovely town of Deauville nearby for free time enjoying the scenery, upmarket shops and cafes or a day visit to the Commonwealth Landing Beaches, as below:-

Today we will visit the Pegasus Bridge & Museum, which retells the story behind the famous slider landing. Our next stop is Le Grand Bunker: The Atlantic Wall Museum, located inside a huge command bunker. Then we make the journey to Sword, Juno & Gold landing beaches and visit the D-Day Museum and the Arromanches 360 Theatre.

Day 6

Today we begin our journey home on north sea ferries

Arrive home and dropped off at your daoor to door pick up poiints
