Croatia and Slovenia are silently underestimated destinations. This holiday explores the Adriatic crystal-clear coastline, national parks, amazing waterfalls and stunning scenery, and includes visits to Postojna Caves, Predjama Castle and the Famous Lipica Stud Farm. We start by heading to the port of Fažana, close to Pula, and enjoy a 20-minute boat journey to the Brijuni National Park. comprising 14 beautiful islands. Included is a visit Pula, the largest town in Istria, famous for its magnificent Roman amphitheatre.  Also, we have an excursion to one of the most popular resorts along the Adriatic coastline – Porec. Enjoy some time at leisure and make the most of the Islands’ beache. We eventually travel north, back into Slovenia. Our first visit is to Lipica, one of the oldest stud farms in the world with a tradition dating back to 1580, and home to the world famous white Lippizanner horses. We continue towards our stunning resort on Lake Bled via the breath-taking Postojna Caves. A specially developed train takes us deep within 24km of caves decorated with stalactites and stalagmites. Finally, enjoying some free time in Bled and what this wonderful place has to offer.

Day 1

travel from We Hull to Zeebrugge on our comfortable overnight sailing with dinner and breakfast included.

Day 2

After disembarking our boat this morning we make our way through the Netherlands and into Germany and our overnight hotel in time for dinner.

Day 3

Today we travel to Rovinj and our hotel set on our own private island a short distance off of this beautiful coast. We arrive in time for dinner with time to settle in for our relaxing 5 night stay.

Day 4

The day is free for you to explore the beautiful surroundings on our private island at leisure, relaxing on the beach or taking the regular island ferry to Rovinj, famous for St Euphemia Cathedral, dominating the port of Rovinj. The old town is extremely pretty with numerous cafes, galleries along with its active fishing port, and picturesque buildings with Venetian elegance.

Day 5

Brijuni Islands & Pula
This morning we head to the port of Fažana, close to Pula, and enjoy a 20 minute boat journey to the Brijuni National Park, comprising 14 beautiful islands. During our visit we enjoy a sightseeing tour on a land train which includes a visit to a Safari Park, archaeological museum, Roman ruins, a Venetian Castle and Mediterranean Gardens. Cafés and restaurants are available for a lunch stop before returning to the mainland. In the afternoon we visit Pula, the largest town in Istria, famous for its magnificent Roman amphitheatre.

Day 6

We enjoy an excursion to one of the most popular resorts along the Adriatic coastline - Porec. The small peninsula, where the heart of the old town lies, has been inhabited for over 6000 years, and the old town is a historical monument in itself. The Basilica's interior is highly decorated with exquisite Byzantian mosaics, with the majestic Bishop's Palace next door - both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. With a maze of narrow streets to explore, you will find squares lined with cafes to enjoy lunch and browse the unique shops.

Day 7

We are sure you may want to make the most of your island's beaches and hotel facilities, or take the ferry to Rovinj for a final chance to wander the streets of this historical gem.

Day 8

This morning we say farewell to our island home and Croatia, and travel northwards back into Slovenia. Our first visit is to Lipica, one of the oldest stud farms in the world with a tradition dating back to 1580 and home to the world famous white Lippizanner horses for a visit (riding display is not possible). We continue towards our stunning resort on Lake Bled via the breathtaking Postojna Caves. A specially developed train takes us deep within 24km of caves decorated with stalactites and stalagmites. Note: if people want to do the complete tour of the caves there is a lot of walking, but they can choose to stay on the train for an easier tour.

Day 9

At leisure in Lake Bled
Today is a day at leisure to relax and enjoy the area. There are many things to do, but top of the list would be a boat trip across to Bled Island to take a closer look at the Church of the Assumption. For those who are a little more active, why not take a walk around the lake enjoying the various photographic opportunities or walk up to Bled Castle for magnificent aerial views?

Day 10 to 12

We begin our journey home with an overnight stay, followed by our overnight ferry crossing from Zeebrugge to Hull.
