Door to door service

The beautiful ancient city of Canterbury is steeped in tradition and regarded by many as the "jewel in Kent’s crown", with its skyline dominated by the oldest Cathedral in England. Enjoy a cruise along the picturesque River Stour through the heart of the city before exploring on your own. Visit Chartwell the beloved home of Sir Winston Churchill. The rooms remain much as they were when he lived there with pictures, books and personal mementos evoking the career and wide-ranging interests of Sir Winston - writer, amateur painter and family man. The magnificent hillside gardens reflect Sir Winton’s love of the landscape and, in his Studio a collection of the canvasses that he painted are displayed. We spend a day at Dover Castle, the largest and most iconic Castle in England, showcases over 800 years of history. Described as "The Key to England" due to its strategic position, it was from here that Operation Dynamo was controlled.

Day 1

Sunday
Your holiday starts with a pick up from home by one of the vehicles from our Door to Door service and this will bring you through to our coach. We'll make our way to Stratford-upon-Avon where you'll find a vast array of shops, cafes and restaurants within the compact town centre. Leaving here, we'll continue our journey to the hotel, aiming to arrive late afternoon.

Day 2

Monday
We spend the morning at The Savill Garden, reputed to be one of Britain's finest ornamental gardens. Spread over 35 acres within Windsor Great Park, they were developed in the 19302 by Sir Eric Savill as a woodland garden and today showcase native oak, beech and sweet chestnut trees. The interconnecting gardens include the Hidden Gardens, New Zealand Garden, Autumn Wood and The Glades. We'll leave the Garden early afternoon to join our circular river cruise along the Thames from Windsor and enjoy not only the scenery but Afternoon Tea.

Day 3

Tuesday
This morning we make the short journey to Windsor where we have included a one-hour walking tour after which you will have an opportunity to have a bite to eat before visiting Windsor Castle.
Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world and the official residence of The Queen and you'll have the afternoon to discover the delights of the Castle including the State Apartments, Queen Mary's Dolls House, The Semi State Room and St George's Chapel to name a few.

Day 4

Wednesday
We spend the day in Henley-on-Thames, the lovely river town boasts houses and churches dating from the 15th and 16th centuries and is famous for the Royal Regatta, first held in 1839. We've included entry to the award-winning River and Rowing Museum which celebrates the history and heritage of rowing, the River Thames and the town itself. You'll be free to enjoy and explore on your own before we meet again to join the one-hour river cruise up the Royal Regatta Reach to Hampledon Lock.

Day 5

Thursday
We'll leave the hotel after breakfast to begin our journey home and we'll stop for a break at Royal Leamington Spa. With a town centre of around a third of a square mile it means that all areas of the town centre are easily accessed on foot within a 10-minute walk. The Grade II Jephson Gardens are also delightful at any time of year to visit. We'll leave early afternoon to return you to your drop-off point where one of our Door to Door vehicles will be waiting to take you home.
