Day 1

The holiday starts with a pick up from home by one of the vehicles from our Door to Door service which will bring you through to our coach. Once on board we make our way to Huntingdon, a quaint market town where you will find an assortment of cafes, bars and restaurants, a pedestrianized shopping centre offering a choice of boutiques and national shops. Huntingdon's riverside park is a great place to relax and watch the fourth longest river in England, The River Great Ouse, go by. We'll leave late afternoon to make the short journey to our hotel allowing you plenty of time to relax before dinner

Day 2

After a leisurely breakfast we make our way to Anglesey Abbey, the former run down priory that was transformed by the future Lord Fairhaven into a home from where his guests enjoyed 1930s luxury. The beautiful furniture, clocks, silverwares books and paintings can all be seen at the Abbey today. He created extensive landscaped gardens and planted them for all seasons so they can be enjoyed throughout the year.

Day 3

This morning we have arranged for a two hour guided walking tour of Cambridge. The city of Cambridge is well known for its university which was founded in 1209 and is consistently ranked as one of the top 5 universities in the world. After the tour you will have free time to have lunch (not included in the cost of your holiday) before joining us for a traditional chauffeured punting tour on the River Cam to enjoy a different view of the city.

Day 4

Our excursion today takes us to The National Stud, the showcase for British Thoroughbred breeding. Comprising over 500 acres of prime pastureland on the edge of Newmarket, our 90 minute tour will be taken on foot and on the coach. We will be given an introduction into the history and purpose of The National Stud as a commercial thoroughbred breeding operation. After our tour, we'll take the short journey to the market town of Newmarket where we'll stop for a couple of hours giving you the chance to explore this unique and historic town with its various wonderful quirks such as horse walks, horse traffic lights and horse training ground that runs right into the town centre.

Day 5

Sadly it's time to return home today via Ely
