Day 1

The holiday starts with a pick up from home by one of our taxis or minibuses which will bring you through to the coach. Once on board we make our way to Chester arriving in time for lunch and then on to our hotel at Criccieth arriving in plenty of time to unpack before dinner

Day 2

Straight after breakfast, we make our way round the outskirts of the Snowdonia National Park to Betws-y-Coed The village needs little or no introduction and is probably one of the most photographed spots in Snowdonia if not Wales. Surrounded by dense woodland and magnificent mountain country the area is enhanced by ancient bridges, river pools and the popular Swallow Falls. The main street has numerous inns and shops whilst at the railway station there is a Museum, miniature railway, shop and restaurant. Then it's on to Llanberis, "Snowdon's Village". From here there are stunning views of the mountain, you can take a stroll along the shores of Padam Lake, maybe visit the slate museum, explore the parks or visit the 13th century castle. It is intended to spend at least 2 hours here before catching the train for the one hour journey to the summit of Snowdonia (weather permitting). You will have half an hour to enjoy the wonderful views before the journey back down to Llanberis

Day 3

Leaving the hotel straight after breakfast we travel along the coast through Pwllheli and on to Caernarfon. Dominated by the magnificent 13th century castle, Caernarfon is a town of contrasts, a busy market town, a major tourist destination and the county town of Gwynedd. There is plenty for you to see and do from craft shops to gift shops, restaurants and cafes and of course the castle itself. The coach leaves here shortly after dinner and returns to Criccieth to give you some free time to explore the resort.

Day 4

A leisurely start to the day as we make the short journey from the hotel to Porthmadog and catch the Ffestiniog Railway to Blaenau Ffestiniog. The former "Slate Capital of Wales" has a strange compelling beauty with screes of broken slate tumbling down the mountainside, mixing with Snowdonia Grandeur. The coach meanwhile will have travelled via the road and will be waiting to meet you and take you down to Portmeirion where we spend most of the afternoon.
The unique Italianate village was created in by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis between 1925 and 1975 and was the setting for the cult 60's TV series "The Prisoner". Today it is visited by thousands of people to admire its beautiful architecture and exquisite gardens and beautiful views. There are a number of places to eat and of course shops.

Day 5

Enjoy your breakfast before boarding the coach and heading to Chester, where once again we make a lunch time stop. We leave Chester in plenty of time to get to Yorkshire around teatime and from here your journey home will be completed in one of our Door to Door vehicles.
