Day 1

The holiday starts with a pick up from home by one of the vehicles from our Door to Door service which will bring you through to our coach. We'll stop for a break at Stratford-upon-Avon where you'll find lots of choice for something to eat and drink before making our way to the hotel where we'll aim to arrive late afternoon giving you plenty of time to relax before dinner.

Day 2

We make our way to Bath, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, where we have a guided tour. Bath was founded upon natural hot springs with the steaming water playing a key role throughout its history. Lying in the heart of the city the Roman Baths were constructed around 70AD as a grand bathing and socialising complex and after a break for lunch (not included in the price of the holiday) we visit the Roman Baths, now considered to be one of the finest historic sites in Northern Europe.

Day 3

A morning at your leisure in Wells. Your hotel is ideally situated to visit the Cathedral, famed for its magnificent West Front, featuring over 300 statues and carvings, the inverted scissor arches of the nave and one of the oldest working mechanical clocks. The Wells, which gave the city its name, are located in the grounds of the Bishops Palace which is still the residence of the Bishops of Bath and Wells and are also only a short walk from the hotel.
We spend the afternoon at magnificent Montacute House, created by Sir Edward Phelips and completed in 1601 it was a statement of wealth, ambition and showmanship. The beautiful gardens surrounding the house are also worth a visit whatever the season.

Day 4

Our excursion today takes us to Bristol, famous for its prosperous maritime history and was the starting place for early voyages of exploration to the New World. It is now one of the UKs most popular tourist destinations and a morning guided tour is included followed by a visit to Brunel's SS Great Britain, described as "the ship that changed the world". Designed by Brunel for the Great Western Steamships transatlantic service between Bristol and New York, she was the largest passenger ship in the world from 1845 to 1854. A soup and sandwich lunch is also included after which you will have free time to explore Bristol on your own.

Day 5

Leaving the hotel after breakfast, we begin the journey home stopping for a couple of hours in Warwick, famous for it's castle and historic charm. The town centre has an array of mainly independent shops, cafes and tea-rooms with Market Place in the heart of the town, Swan Street being the town's busiest street and Smith Street the oldest shopping street. There are also various museums and the beautiful Collegiate Church of St Mary which dominates the overall view of the centre of Warwick and offers a glorious view of the town from the top of the tower if you feel up to the climb of the 134 steps! We'll leave Warwick mid- afternoon to meet the door to door vehicles who will take you home.
